Your story creatively captured:

A photo session documenting this moment in time with yourself, your family or your significant other.

Embracing it all - The style

The most meaningful photographs always capture the essence of your story.

My approach is a mixture of documentary and portrait photography, which will lean either way depending on the type and flow of the session you choose.
With children, my style leans towards documentary. I can offer my eye to document this moment in your lives. My favourite way to do this is to come into your home and capture you in your comfortable space.

At times I may direct you and at other times follow what unfolds. We’ll talk about what you’re comfortable and any ideas we want to play with before our shoot.

The type of photographer I’m not is one who focuses on perfectly posed and polished photographs. - I love true expression and real moments shining through.

Black and white photo of pregnant woman standing indoors near a window, looking at the camera, with a garden visible outside.
A black and white photo of a woman with long wavy hair looking upward, and a young girl with short hair drinking from a bottle in the background, outdoors in a natural setting with trees.
A pregnant woman and a man standing outdoors, smiling and leaning towards each other, with the woman showing her pregnant belly.
A black and white photo of a pregnant woman sitting on a rock in a wooded area, with a man standing behind her, gently holding her shoulder and head, both with serene expressions.
A young woman with wavy brown hair and a gentle smile, sitting with her arms crossed, wearing a black top with spaghetti straps, a necklace with a large pendant, and a ring on her finger, in a cozy room with framed art on the wall.

Your Photographer

My photos explore a love for documentary with its ability to freeze a story in time, - and portraiture which allows us to be bravely front and centre- A dance with vulnerability and creativity.

I have a relaxed approach, often being told I have “gentle” energy (but can turn into a creatively excited child when we get in the flow.)
I care about the quality of my work and give both the capturing and editing careful attention to ensure we create the images that are satisfying and meaningful to you.

My interest in maternity and motherhood photography comes from a curiosity towards healing and childhood, the act and sacrifice of mothering, nurturing and the individuality of every families story.

Every session and every woman, couple, family are different, so I will adapt how I shoot to each session. Whether you’re up for a more relaxed session or down to get creative and vulnerable with storytelling, I’m looking forward to telling your story.

FAQ’s

“I’m awkward in front of the camera”

I hear those words all the time. Me too.
These sessions are for everyone, even if you haven’t stepped in front of the camera before.
My focus is making you relaxed and at ease. Your main task on the day will be to focus on connection to self or your loved ones above all and I can help with suggestion on prompts and direction as it flows.
